Anna and Jordan are native to Minnesota, but they actually both met in college at North Dakota State University! Jordan transferred there after completing his freshman year at Dordt College, where the seeds to connect with a campus ministry had been planted. Eventually, these two became friends through their involvement with The Navigators at NDSU, and through leadership team, campus life, and friends, these two became an item!

I met Anna in May of 2015, just weeks after our own graduations from college. Even though we're both from the Midwest, neither of us knew about the other. However, joining staff with the previous mentioned ministry made quick friends of us! We hit it off--seeing each other every 6 months or so, and occasionally skyping or texting during our semesters apart. Our second year of staff, one November evening (just about a year ago, now!) I saw an incoming call from Anna...and just KNEW there'd be some big news coming over the telephone lines! Or rather, cell phone waves. ;) Sure enough, Jordan had proposed during the Thanksgiving holiday, and they were planning a 2017 wedding!

10 months can seem like forever; thankfully, it isn't! After a summer apart (Anna was in Japan, while Jordan was back in Minnesota) these two finally made it to their wedding! Anna had picked out the gorgeous and lush Millennium Gardens in Plymouth, MN. It was a gorgeous venue, and I think that September was the perfect month to marry there. Inside the event center, tables were decked out with succulents, wooden birds, and yellow...a perfect representation of Anna's bubbly self & personality via decor! The Christiansens' wedding day gifted so many friends and family with a sunny, joy-filled day of celebration. It was an honor to be there, both as a friend and photographer (my favorite combination!). Minnesota, two of the best people I know reside in your state! Treat them well for me, until I visit next! ;)
