Lizy and I met just a few weeks into her freshman year at Iowa State, and I remember just how bubbly and sweet she was! (And still is, ha!) Memories were made that year, including dorm room karaoke, which is something I *highly* recommend. Lizy had a boyfriend, the infamous Kyle, who I'd heard so much about and never met. I knew he was quieter than Lizy, but kind and hardworking. They dated long distance through college, until last year, when Kyle proposed! Now they're long-distance engaged, and planning a spring wedding in Cedar Rapids, their hometown.

Getting asked to photograph their engagement and wedding photos brings me so much joy--I just love getting to work alongside friends. :) The three of us met up at Stomping Grounds for some coffee and photos this fall. Ames, Iowa in the fall is mayyyybe one of the best things (EVER) and we took advantage of the gorgeous light and leaves, too! Lizy and Kyle made my work so easy...I love when couples are genuine with each other, and invite me into that! It's not easy when you've got another random person telling you to kiss in front of a camera, but these two rocked it!
