Ethan and Heidi began dating in college after becoming friends. Ethan was interested in Heidi, and asked her out …she was a little clueless at first, but soon realized his intentions and figured that she enjoyed his company, so why not try dating!? They’ve been together ever since! Ethan proposed in November, and both have since graduated from their schools in the Cedar Rapids metro and are planning a fall wedding.

Just a few months away from marriage, we realized that engagement photos needed to happen ASAP! Since I was in the Cedar Falls area for a few days after Kelsey & Josh’s Waverly wedding, they drove up to spend an afternoon with me in the downtown CF area. It was a quiet Sunday, which allowed us to explore, chat, and take some fun photos. We even stopped in to Scratch… the best cupcakes in Iowa! ;)

Scratch Cupcakery is by far the neatest place. If you’re in CF, Coralville, or West Des Moines, you simply MUST check them out! So affordable, and super tasty. They even have vegan and gluten free cupcake options!
