Des Moines In-Home Couple's Session
Do you ever look back on life and realize that time has flown by and you’ve completely forgotten to commemorate it!? We all have those days (or years) when we realize that the little moments, seemingly mundane, made up a unique season of life. Perhaps that was college, or those years with newborn babies and long nights of little sleep. Often, I find that my friends who have been married a few years don’t memorialize their time in a first home or apartment among the job changes, graduations, and honeymoon phase. So, it was a joy to capture year two of marriage for my sweet friend Mary Rose and her husband! They’re busy living life (both are loyally involved with family, friends + work) and anticipate that moving may be in their future, as Bobby will begin residency next year for med school after he wraps up at Des Moines University.
I joyfully spent an hour on a warm, sunny Sunday afternoon with these two. They made my job SO EASY!!!! And good light never hurt a photographer, I always say. ;) (JUST KIDDING NEVER SAID THAT BEFORE BUT IT IS TRUUUUUU.) I sure hope that someday, Mary and Bobby look back on these photos and remember the simple and tenderness of this season— just them (and their doggo!) making a life together in their first apartment. <3
