Lakefront Chicago Engagement Photos // Illinois Wedding Photographer
If I can combine trips for photography, you bet I will! After all, it saves time & money and is a wholeeee lot more fun! Cue swinging through Chicago after Mike & Kirsten’s wedding in Michigan. After all, 5 hours of driving over two days is way better than 10+ hours of road time.
Audrey was my first college roommate at Iowa State. We lived in Larch together, and she showed me the ropes of campus life. We ate at Convos (ice cream after every meal!) and snagged meal bundles and watched movies way later into the night than we should have. ;) This girl is full of spunk + adventure, and combined with her compassionate heart, it wasn’t hard to know that she’d succeed at life, no matter what she did post college.
After graduation, Audrey moved to Chicago with some friends. They made a life there, she started grad school, and she also met a cute guy at church. That friendship turned into something more, and not long ago I got an email from Audrey telling me that she and Jordan were engaged!! She asked what my availability was this fall for wedding photography, and here we are. Since I was coming through Chicago to get home from Michigan, we picked some spots to take engagement photos. Humboldt Park is near where Aud lives, and she runs there often. The lakefront beach views (that skyline!!) was my request— you can’t not have some cityscapes to celebrate the city where you fell in love, right!? Soon enough these two will be married and celebrating… October can’t come soon enough!
I honestly don’t know which set of photos I like more… the park or city views!?
