Long time followers of the blog and Insta know that senior sessions light up my soul like nothing else. There’s something special about connecting with a soon-to-be graduate, hearing about the activities they love in high school, and the dreams they harbor for the future. It’s such a sweet season of life, and I love every moment getting to craft photos to tell the story of these future teachers, doctors, engineers, parents and citizens of tomorrow.

It’s rare that I have sessions outside of the Des Moines metro- but I looooove when I do! Jacie’s going to graduate from Pella High & homeschool in spring of 2024, and it was a treat to get to spend a perfect evening exploring Pella’s adorable downtown and countryside. She’s a runner (she’s a track star!) as well as just the kindest, brightest spirit! She and her mom brought a lot of ideas & organized plans, while fully trusting me to make decisions during our session on location, posing, and lighting! Such a dream come true.

If you’re a senior to be (or a parent of a high schooler!) please don’t hesitate to reach out about senior photos, now or in 3 years. ;) These sessions truly are my favorite and each one is custom to the individual! I travel, so whether you're located in a city outside of Des Moines in Iowa, or even a different state… I’ll happily come to you! Just a reminder that July, August, and September are often the most busy months for photographers in the midwest, so reach out early about senior session openings. :)
