Jenny & Jeremiah // Kansas Wedding Photographer

Jenny and Jeremiah's story began back in the summer of 2012. They both attended a summer program in Florida for two months; however, Jenny was a staff member and Jeremiah attended as a student! (I also participated and met them both, however, since I was from a different university, didn't interact much with either one.) The next summer, Jenny led a trip overseas, and Jeremiah was one of the (again) students on the trip. That summer created a strong friendship between the whole team. That fall, I transferred to Iowa State University, and became much closer to both of them. Jeremiah and I lived in the same dorm, and Jenny mentored me that school year! However, as Jenny was on staff and Jeremiah still in school, romance wasn't part of their relationship. (Yet!)

Fast forward a few years. Jenny moved to another city, and Jeremiah planned to go overseas for two years. Right before he left, he visited Ames to say goodbye to friends--and he and Jenny grabbed coffee. It was a normal coffee date between friends, but as she left, Jenny knew that he was a man of character and that she liked him. AND he was leaving the country for two years! Tears ensued. ;)

Thankfully, skype and facetime exist. They kept in contact, and finally, talked about feelings and mutual interest and a relationship. (!!!) They started dating long-distance, only communicating via text and video chat. Their entire dating relationship was virtual, until last July! Jenny was able to travel overseas to visit, they enjoyed dating in person for a week, and then Jeremiah proposed! After a few more months of long-distance engagement, Jeremiah moved back to the Midwest. In February, friends from around the world celebrated with them as they promised forever to each other!

February is a tough month to get married (just a little cold!) but it was made so special by all the guests and friends who came to celebrate with the couple. I enjoy traveling, and seeing more of Kansas made this weekend extra fun! Plus, this wedding had a bumpin' dance floor and that makes the reception active for everyone! Enjoy a "few" of my favorite photos from Jenny and Jeremiah's wedding day:)
