Meet Elly! She's super sweet with just a bit of sass. We had no problem giggling together during her senior session, and found some great hidden spots in the Waterloo area for her senior photos! I was thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph her…because I did her older sister's senior photos a few years back! It's always a treat to be welcomed back by a family for more photos. Especially senior photos! Nothing like hanging out, laughing together, chatting about whatever randomness we want, and getting some great shots! He wanted 3 photos and I'm giving him 75. Oops…but hey, YOSO! (you only senior photo once hahaha). This is Coleman. He's an amazing videographer, photographer, yo-yo artist, and all-around the nicest guy you'll meet. Plus, he lives in Thailand and has the coolest adventures, of which I'm jealous. Next year, he begins the adventure of college and is going to make waves in the art community for sure.
I love senior photos as a college senior because it’s SO MUCH MORE of an accomplishment to graduate from university than high school. (Don’t get me wrong, that’s great thing, too!) 4 years of intense studying, late nights working on projects in the campus library or engineering halls, learning how to be an adult and use Cy-Ride or wash laundry or cook meals… college is SUCH a life experience! I wish more university seniors took the time to commemorate with some professional photos!
This lovely lady just happens to be one of my favorites. We've walked the path of life together for 2.5 years, and I'm so excited for the next 25+! Morganne and I met our first week-ish at ISU…and she brings so much joy to my life. Plus, she's weird in the best way and says the crayyyyyziest things! (M, you make me laugh 10x as much when I'm with you…so, thanks for keeping me healthy;) Thanks for finally letting me redeem myself with my camera and make some art. <3
Senior sessions that turn light into magic, and moments into memories…those are the sessions that keep me going. And this girl, she was perfection. Jess is in every way an artist, a dancer, a dreamer, and as sweet as they come. I just wish that I knew her half as well as I did her two older sisters! (Might be biased and also praying she decides to attend Iowa State next year so that could be a reality;) Enjoy a sampling of my favorites from our evening together…thanks for letting me have the honor of making photos of you, Jessica!
This girl is a fireball of fun! It was a blast adventuring with her to find the best bits of light when we hung out a few weeks ago. Have the best senior year ever girl & keep shining bright!
