Not only is Elizabeth one of the most naturally gorgeous women I know, but her interior beauty shines more than her physical! She actually modeled for my in my fledging photographer days, at least once, maybe more. I had some silly ideas, but she put up with them in typical Liz style— encouraging, laughing, and having fun! We also shared some memories detasseling, if I recall correctly. Good ol’ Iowa summers!
Although her family has spread out over the years, with marriages and babies and jobs moving adult children around the states, they remain a close group. The Pakala love is STRONG! So much so, that when Elizabeth and Trevor married in Davenport (where they’ll live once returned from honeymooning!) family and friends came out in droves. Colorado, Pennsylvania, North Dakota, Arkansas… just a few of the states guests and relatives drove from for this special day!
This sunny spring wedding kicked off with a first look outside the church. So sweet and tender! This is always one of my favorite parts of photographing a wedding!
There ceremony was held in a gorgeous church building with tall ceilings and stained glass. The perfect space to say vows!
Instead of a kiss, Elizabeth and Trevor opted to “greet” each other with a handshake, and fist bump. So unique!
I spent all of 6 hours with Trevor and quickly realized that he is a HUGE practical joker! I wouldn’t be surprised if this stunt was ALL him.
The newly minted couple smiled and laughed as if the sun would never set. They then greeted each guest, with warm hugs and welcome introductions. Each person attending felt so cared for in that hour, I am sure.
May your travels in Italy be as romantic as the architecture and as colorful as all the gelato you’ll share!! Happy honeymooning, Hallams!
