Jillian and Anthony met in college, but they didn't feel immediate sparks. However, after months together on the road for a traveling class, their friendship slowly grew into more. They bought matching bear hats together (you'll see them later!) and share a love for the outdoors, family, and simplicity. All of that was evident in this gorgeous outdoor spring wedding at Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley, Illinois!
Jillian is the oldest of three girls, and it was delightful watching them prepare together for the day! For details, Jillian brought along a blue bracelet (for each girl in the bridal party, too!) and her grandmother's gorgeous ring, that she wore on her right hand. Her mom had ordered so many fresh flowers--you guys, I was in heaven! The palms were laid on the outdoor aisle, and the rest were used to decorate the tables for the reception. As for that, live music flowed for hours! Jillian's younger sister, Annie, plays in a wind quintet--they kicked off the dinner hour, and other family members and friends joined in on various instruments throughout the afternoon. Hannah Denecke played and sang for Anthony & Jillian's first dance, and it really was one of the "homiest" weddings I've been to that wasn't at home. :)
The inside of Oakwood Country Club was gorgeously decorated for Jillian's wedding! The themes of pink, white, and gold carried over so well inside--and I loved the palms that were incorporated into the decor as well.
The reception was held indoors in the Oakwood Country Club, right after the ceremony, and was super laid back. There was plenty of time for eating, chatting, filling out super cute table games, and of course--the classic reception items like cake cutting and first dances!
