Karly and Byron met a few years back through work. Byron is older than Karly, so he never really considered that she might be a great fit for him—but Karly’s mom (hi Chris!) had an idea. She dropped a few hints to her daughter, and after getting to know Byron a bit more, Karly asked him out! He said yes, and they went on their first date at Harman Reserve in Cedar Falls. The two of them really hit it off, as it so happens. :)
So, time passed, and last winter, Byron and Karly took another walk around Hartman Reserve. Only this time, Byron asked Karly a question with a gorgeous opal ring, and she said yes! They're planning a wedding for next May, which will be a wonderful day. (I'm sure of that!) During their engagement session we walked around Hartman Reserve-- I don't think I'd been there in at least 5 years-- and just wandered around the paths. Everything was brilliantly green, and little white flowers dotted the forest floor. Hardly any bugs were out yet, and we pretty much had the lay of the land to ourselves. Doggo Rick came along, and enjoyed all kinds of smells and sights (including a deer spotting!). Haha!
I'm looking forward to my 2019 weddings! We're still booking late 2018 and any 2019 dates, so if you know anyone looking for a wedding photographer in Cedar Falls, Des Moines, or anywhere in the midwest (I do love to travel!) just send them here. :) Much love!
