One of my favorite parts about being a Des Moines Senior Photographer? That I get to meet so many amazing, talented, and enthusiastic young women. They have so many dreams and ideas about their lives after high school, the coolest plans for college, or just the drive to succeed at whatever they study or do for a career! Paige attends high school at Adel-De-Soto-Minburn schools, and is involved in the community there. She plays clarinet, takes a variety of courses, and has traveled abroad to boot! She also has a killer fashion sense & I may ask her to help style me in the future!
Paige and I met in Clive, Des Moines to kick off her session. She wore a super fun floral sundress with sandals, and since we couldn’t shoot on real train tracks, we found an old historic train depot in Clive for her senior photos. It turned out to be a great location!
We switched up spots & outfits. Paige pulled out a cute white top with red stripes, a faded denim jacket, and red converse! Even though she was born in the 2000’s, I told Paige this was the perfect & most classic 90’s kid outfit. (Which I am, and I LOVE!) Sometimes the best things come back in style!
Paige took a trip to Paris this summer, and brought back this gorgeous French scarf! She paired it with a lavender top and it was instantly the perfect outfit for late summer or early fall. This girl has a great sense of fashion!
I ask all my senior girls if they’d prefer an urban setting or more natural scene, like a field or barn. Paige was hoping for more of an outdoor, rustic location— so we moved to Water Works Park for some barn and grassy photos! Thankfully it wasn’t too muddy with all the fall rains we’ve been getting, and there were even some dry patches for Paige to sit on! Paige plays clarinet in the Adel De Soto Minburn High School marching band, and brought it along. She loves tossing it up the air (that must be a high school band thing;) so we included that as well!
Paige picked out a warm pink sweater for her last outfit & it was just what was needed. We took a few photos by the water, and found a brick wall for the end of her session. I loved working with this girl! Any future ADM high school seniors— I’d love to photograph your seniors! If you’re anything like Paige, I know we’ll have a blast:)
