I adore these two humans! I met Kurt long before Kristen was in the picture. He’s always been a solid man of God, serving those around him with humble strength. I can’t even remember meeting Kristen, but I do remember her senior year, we just “clicked” and I decided that this girl was one that I wanted to keep up with after college. Not that we’re best friends, but I have a fond place in my heart for this girl! She and Kurt started dating that year, and it just made sense.
Buuuuut… (all good love stories have a but!) Kristen moved to live in China for a year to teach English! So, they dated long distance for a whole year before she moved back to the midwest. And, then, finally —after all that time—they became engaged this fall! They’re going to have the best wedding day ever in just about 6 weeks!
K^2 braved the cold (and wind!) but that just meant lots of bear hugs and snuggles. ;)
The following few images are my favorites! Just real, simple moments.
Cold calls for coffee! So, we hopped over to Sidecar in Waterloo to warm up. It’s one of my favorite spots when I’m back home in the Cedar Valley. It also helped that we shot these photos around noon on a Sunday, right before Christmas, so it was pretty quiet. :)
Thanks for fitting me in to your crazy holiday schedule, friends! I can’t wait for your wedding at Usher’s Ferry in just a few months—it’s going to be a bomb day. <3
