When people I know have a new baby, I find a way to go catch some newborn snuggles. FAST! ;) Little lady Abigail was no exception! Her mom grew up in my home church but was enough older than I that we were never friends, just acquaintances. Fast forward a while and with Facebook, we’re now “friends”.. haha! Anyhow, Alison and I connected when she was looking for someone to watch her baby this summer. I met her & her husband, all three of us hit it off (this is gonna be a long friendship, y’all) and everyone was just eager for baby to come.
Sweet Abigail took her time coming, but made it here in the beginning of April. Alison and I had talked about my taking newborn photos, so I packed up my basket and swaddles and cute new little headbands (anyone else obsessed with large bows on little babies!?) and made my way over one sunny, spring morning. We spent a few hours chatting and shushing and swaddling. The best way to get some extra newborn cuddles in, too!
I love capturing photos in the home! It was wonderful that Andy was on his last day of paternity leave, so we made sure to include him. Dad is SMITTEN with his new little girl. They’re going to have a sweet relationship! I can’t wait to watch this family grow closer together!
Just a bit of real life for you here… haha! “Not so sure about this big black thing they’re trying to shove in my face…” ;)
Aren’t spring babies the best!? This little girl will feel like the entire world is celebrating her each year as the soil warms up again and the trees break out their floral decor. I can’t wait to watch Abigail grow into the kindest little lady— I just know she will be!
