We’re nearing the 6 month anniversary of this wedding day, and the weather feels chilly and rainy- similarly to this cozy Saturday I spent in Ames, Iowa for Mackenzie & Ben’s wedding! The women started off downtown at a salon to do hair & makeup, while the guys had the run of the church basement to hang out & play games until they needed to be dressed. (Very typical, haha!)
This day was focused on all the people this kind couple holds dear, and friends & family traveled from around the country to be with them. There were some very teary moments (the bride’s first look with her dad & brother) and plenty of joyful, boisterous ones as well (the bubble exit after the ceremony)! My favorites, tho, are always the quiet moments the couple gets to spend with each other while we take portraits. And watching these two together? Like a movie- but in the most real, genuine way. :) Scroll on to see what I mean!
