The DSM Botanical Gardens set an elegant scene for any wedding day, but especially a summertime celebration!! I’ve photographed multiple weddings at this venue, and can confidently say it’s always a treat to be here. Just a quick walk from the East Village and Downtown Des Moines, the Gardens boast a beautiful view of the city skyline and gorgeous green spaces— both indoors and out!
While Kallie and Geoffrey now live in a small college town a few hours north of DSM, they both are Iowa transplants- Kallie from Arkansas, Geoffrey from the east coast. When they decided to get married in Iowa, Des Moines seemed like the perfect location for a wedding celebration with so many family and friends traveling in for the big weekend! Everyone was so kind, and the events progressed smoothly all weekend. We even had the most beautiful sunset- Iowa just had to show off for all the out of state visitors!! ;) Enjoy this romantic and very floral wedding day!!
