Ames, Iowa homes many families and college students, but there truly aren’t may wedding venues (at least compared to the Des Moines metro). However, tucked away in a corner of town, just off Highway 30, lives the world’s largest (some may even say cutest!) gnome and coincidentally, wedding venue. ;) Reiman Gardens is an established venue for both weddings, events, and seasonal activities for tourists and locals alike. I never pass up an opportunity to photograph here, so when Amanda and Paul shared their wedding plans with me, I literally squealed!
April in Iowa truly is a wild ride, and this year was no exception. I arrived at the venue to sunshine, and just hours later, thunder rolled and rain pattered against the windows while guests sipped drinks and snacks during the cozy reception. Thankfully, Amanda and Paul did all they could to host a laid-back celebration, and nothing could dampen their joy! These two truly kicked off my 2024 wedding season with the perfect day.
