I think that one of the biggest joys in photographing high school seniors is when they turn into friends! I may be past the cool days of high school, but I like to think we can still hang. ;) Kat emailed me about senior photos this summer, so we met for coffee at one of her favorite spots...Cup of Joe in Cedar Falls! We hit it off, and decided on a fall date for her senior session. Well, that day ended up storming something fierce, so we called it and re-scheduled for the next morning. I rarely do sunrise sessions (mainly because I feel bad making people get up so early, ha) but it's ALWAYS worth it. Always. And I think you'll agree with me after seeing Kat's photos!
Personalizing your session makes it more fun for everyone, and I'm so thankful Kat decided to do that for her session! Specifically, she brought along her favorite flowers for some photos--a beautiful bunch of sunflowers. Be watching for those! Also, she asked if we could take a few photos in her "class hat." Turns out, the entire senior class at Waterloo Christian School got matching knit hats for winter! LOVE IT.
