I’m so glad you’ve stopped by the blog to check out some of my favorite photos from Ashley’s senior session! (There are a lot more where these came from!) Ashley will graduate with the class of 2020 from Waterloo West, but she came down to West Des Moines to have an adventure with me while taking her senior photos. The night we’d picked ended up being hooooottttttt as anything, but she rocked her session with no complaints and a brilliant smile the entire time. My kind of gal!
We started out in quaint Adel. It was quiet, save for some live music happening in the center of town. There were bikers gearing up for RAGBRAI, too, but we hardly ran into anyone… which was perfect for us to have a fun time hanging out, chatting, and shooting away!
Below is one of my FAV photos from this senior session! Ashley’s planning to go to nursing school after high school graduation, and I just know she’s going to make the best medical attendant. She’ll brighten anyone’s day, sick or well!
We drove over to chase the sunset out at Brenton Arboretum! I paid for a membership at this stunning place, and gosh, I need to go out and explore just for fun. 141 acres of trees, birds, and butterflies.
Ashley pulled out her little white dress again because it’s really just the perfect outfit. ;) And her hat was the best accessory. All my senior gals, take note! Accessories really make or break the outfit.
Final outfit change of the night, and we found some sunny yellow flowers to brighten up the dusky mood! Ashley had requested sunflowers but the space I usually shoot sunflower photos at this year aren’t blooming. Regardless, these sunny yellow baby flowers did the trick. I’m not sure what is prettier, Ashley or the blooms. ;) (Juuust kidding, we all know Ashley wins that contest!)
UM OKAYYYYYYYY. 100% humidity has NOTHING on this rockstar!
Ashley, I’m thrilled for your senior year and future beyond! Thank you for trusting me with your senior portraits— and you can model for me anyyytime. ;) Or just come hang out with me! I’m so glad to have spent time with you and your gals last week. :)
To any other Iowa seniors, shoot me an email!! I am thrilled about the possibility of photographing you.:) Being a senior is such a fun and exciting time in life, and I would love the opportunity to capture it. I am booking up fast for fall, so make sure to connect with me soon.
