I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE THIS DAY HAPPENED! Scratch that, I can’t believe this past WEEK was real life!
Holy Moly, Hawaii was the dream of a lifetime come true and these photos are just the very start of what I hope will be many successful trips to paradise to photograph lovers and dreamers and adventurers. Kauai and Oahu, you’ve got my heart and all the money in my travel account forever. :) Just need to get some more beach weddings booked there in 2020 and 2021, mmmk?!
OH! First off, a huuuuuge THANK YOU from the tips of my toes to Peyton & Kylie at Wild + Unwritten for the welcome to join them. Shooting so many incredible couples and locations on Kauai was unreal. They put so much thought and warmth into planning, and I’ll never have an experience like that in my life again. Staying in Princeville on Kauai was paradise (minus those silly roosters crowing at 3am!!) and I’ll write out more thoughts in a future post but for now, my heart of gratitude lays open and poured out like a bottle of uncorked wine. (lololol sorry it’s late and I’m jet lagged so bare with me)
Okayyyy. ALSO gotta say a huge thanks to this couple! They just moved to Hawaii (the Big Island!) and are phenomenal videographers so y’all should check them out ASAP. Katie + Zach do work in the midwest too! SO CHECK THEM OUT AND BOOK THEM CUZ I LOVE ‘EM!
I’m almost done writing, I promise. The colors of Hawai’i truly stand unmatched. You can’t even imagine the variety in flora, nor the colors the waters reflect. The mountains and ocean balance out each other—the rainbows show up daily and the birds never quiet into winter slumber. Aloha spirit exists no matter where you walk, ride, or swim… the locals care about the earth and their neighbors, and it’s beautiful to experience. I’ll literally drop plans to visit again so if you’re planning an elopement or just wanna book me for family photos when I’m island bound, hit your girl’s email up! I’m just a flight away! ;) #islandboundforlife
We started off photos in the neighborhood on the cutest teal bike you’ve ever seen!!! Golly gee I wanted to snatch that thing home with me! Good thing it didn’t fit in my suitcase or it might have disappeared. Biking on Kauai is the way to see the island and these two also made it look super cute. Might have to bring a cute boy with me next time…. ;)
THANK YOU again to everyone who made this possible! Island elopements at sunset make life just a little more like a fairytale + that’s always an adventurous occurrence! Mahalo, Kauai!! (((Check back to see more soon, or find more sneaky peeks on my Instagram!!!!)))
