OH MY GOSH Y’ALL! This day and session was a DREAM. I wish that I could go back and live it over & over & over. (On 2nd hand, I don’t want to live in Groundhog Day so maybe not…) but the Colorado Mountain views were so incredibly epic + this couple is the sweetest & easiest to get to know! Christina and Noah and I drove up from Denver in to the mountains, aware that a winter storm might be starting any time that afternoon. It was warmer in the city, but up in the mountains, the temperature sat just above 32 degrees. A liiiitle chilly, especially as we watched the winter winds push snow-clouds over the lower mountain peaks towards Mt. Evans, where we started our session.
Thankfully, these Denver transplants by way of Texas were super willing to do anything I suggested, and we had a blast racing around pathways to find the best scenic locations for photos. Christina totally became a kindred spirit in the 3 hours we hung out, and Noah is a videographer, so we hit it off talking about work. GO CHECK THEM OUT. Christina runs a popular Instagram account, where she shares what she’s learning + thoughts on the Enneagram (her website with prints —go buy one!!— & more info is here!). Noah’s work can be found on his website, so if you know anyone looking for videography in Colorado or beyond… shoot him an email!
Even though we couldn’t go all the way up to the top of Mt. Evans, we found the best mountain views close to Denver, in my option, for engagement/couple’s photos! Snow started to flurry through the air, which made for magical photos and it finally got so cold that we bundled up and hung out on the frozen Lake Echo (duh!). When our fingers and noses couldn’t take it any longer, the three of us bundled into Noah’s car and stopped in Idaho Springs for some suuuuper tasty pizza! Definitely check out BeauJo’s Pizza if you’re in the mountains in need of a meal.
Christina + Noah, gosh. THANK YOU for trusting me with my camera and capturing the start of this exciting new season of life in Denver, Colorado! Meeting you two was a highlight of my time out there, and I can’t wait to get to be better friends with you over future trips out west. ;) I’m praying that God continues to provide deep community and rich experiences for you both in this new place & season!
Much love!
