New York City has been on my list of dream travel plans for over 10 years, and this trip did not disappoint. After putting it off for so long (the pandemic didn’t help, ha!) we turned daydreams into reality. I literally had the best night of my life, got to eat so much good food, and had the “You’ve Got Mail” soundtrack on repeat in my head for our handful of days in the Big Apple. I can’t wait to share highlights of my dreamy first trip to NYC with you all!

My first time in San Diego did not disappoint. You really can’t beat this city, and there’s a reason it’s so beloved by locals and tourists alike! I sure hope to return- and in the next few years, if I can manage it.
Meet Brittany and Hans! Two adventurous lovebirds that love travel (and their home in SoCal!). It was a joy to meet them & photograph them during this trip, and I hope we meet again!
The dream of visiting Greece came about in high school, when I watched the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (and later, Mamma Mia) for the first time with my three best friends at the age of 16. The four of us talked about traveling together, but with two of them married, and us all working full time, crazy opposite schedules… I decided that I didn’t want to wait for something that probably wouldn’t ever happen. I hope you enjoy a few of the photos from my time in Joshua Tree!
Just my best friend modeling in the Arizona desert… nothing better!
My time in Palm Springs!
Words can’t describe how special this session was to me! We took these on the outskirts of Palm Springs, and the California light had me drooling. These two are pretty cute, too! ;)
I’m all about the LIGHT. You know this if you’ve read my posts for any amount of time. After all, light makes photography happen. And I’m learning that desert light may be my FAAAAVORITE kind!!! Click through to see this sweet couple’s session in Arizona evening sunshine!
Some work, some play, all sun for two days! This whirlwind trip to the Phoenix, Arizona area was a lovely break from winter. I’m starting to think this girl was made for warmer climates + very possibly the desert! Read more to hear about some highlights from this quick few days.
It’s been 11 months since I kicked off two months of (almost) straight travel! My birthday returns each December, and as I’ve made my way into the “late 20’s” I choose a way to celebrate life with friends, activities that bring me joy, and usually some good food & drink. :) Last year, in Dec. 2019, I voyaged to Nashville— the city of music! Two concerts by a few of my very top artists drew me there, and I definitely left part of my heart in that sweet city. Enjoy some of my rambling thoughts & sweet memories of Nashville, TN!

Photographing Christina + Noah in the mountains of Colorado, just between Denver and Breckenridge, was a dream come true. Not only did we have the perfect winter afternoon, complete with sunshine & snow flurries & hot chocolate, but these two are both so kind and intentional. Check out this epic winter mountain photo session!!
Intimate and romantic photos take the cake for “best kind of shoot”. Even better? Doing them spontaneously at home! Amelia and Kurtis live above the city skyline, with a perfect view of sunset. After taking photos for her small business (check out Amelia’s art!!!) Kurtis joined us on their patio for an unprompted “anniversary” session of sorts. 18 months almost of marriage, which is just as valid to celebrate! Click the blog link to see more.
Before I wrote and posted on the website/blog, my mom, sister and I traveled to the land Down Under. Never in my lifetime did I expect to get to travel to Australia! However, in high school, my friend Mikayla and her family moved there… and when she started dating an Australian we realized that mayyyybe someday a trip would be in our future. So, when Kayla and Luke got engaged and asked me to be in their wedding, we decided to make a family trip (minus dad) to this continent country.
Kicking off 2019 with a trip to Seattle was definitely a move in the right direction. Not only did one of my Instagram photos get the most likes ever, but I had a BLAST unplugging from work and normal life for a week! Seattle and the PNW has been on my bucket list to visit for about 10 years (!!!) and y’all bet your coffee addictions I’ll be back soon! There are so many incredible spots to visit, and next time I’ll be packing my REAL camera and some hiking gear to explore the PNW outdoors. (You can see more about our trip here.)
2018 has been a wild ride. Tumultuous emotionally, in many ways, but also such a year of sweet moments. Isn’t that just normal life?! Perhaps I’m just adjusting to life as an adult. I believe that reflecting on the past, planning for the future, and living in the present can add such insight for wise living. With that, this is my Personal post on 2018! Mainly for my processing, but you’re welcome to join me. ;)
I think a dream job for me would be “travel blogger.” Because who wouldn’t love to get paid to travel and share adventure stories!? Ok, probably not everyone…but since I grew up overseas and have been traveling literally since before birth, packing a bag and hopping on an airplane is literally ingrained in my soul!
Our family roadtripped to Colorado for the first time in 9 years last weekend. Can you believe it?! We used to go to Colorado for an annual ski trip with friends—but hadn’t made the trek since I was a senior in High School! Wow.
waco, you were a fun space to see! and I can’t wait to explore you more in the future. thanks for being a weird little town, with growth and grace and gorgeous little spots to find.
