“Happiness, hit her like a train on a track
Coming towards her, stuck still no turning back”
I remember the first email I got from Amber + her mom. I was floooooored that they wanted to drive 2+ hours to Des Moines… just for me to photograph her senior photos! They decided to come my way towards the end of summer, and we had a perfectly sunny August evening all to ourselves to explore downtown Des Moines. Amber picked my largest package so that she could wear as many fun outfits as her car could hold. And it was worth it! She’s not only so sweet on the inside, but stunning as well. (And has great fashion sense, might I add!)
We found a bunch of hidden gems, from a bright pink wall to fun alley stairs, in East Village. Some of my favorite photos happened by an abandoned school bus. But I also love the photos at the end of the night, as the sun set and we chased glimmers of light and little fireflies, splashing in the muddy Iowa river.
These are just a few of Amber’s senior photos… it was so hard to pick what images to blog! Hopefully they make you smile, and remind you that summer really isn’t that far away!!
