Lauren had such a vision for her senior photos- which is always fun for me! We had an overcast day, which is a love/hate thing for us photographers. It means the lighting works in just about any direction, but you don’t get the luminous creamy golden hour glow. Thankfully, Lauren’s vibe is a little more somber and serious, in a very chic way, so the lighting fit her perfectly! We wandered around East Village to snap photos with murals and cool walls, and even popped into a vinyl shop (she’s a big Harry Styles fan if you can’t tell!).
After exploring the metro, we popped over to a park to grab a few more photos with the greenery. I always try to get a mix of settings, if my senior’s want that, and I loved how both turned out! No two seniors are the same, and I try to match the energy of their photos to their personality- I think this was a home run for Lauren’s seniors and can’t wait to see what incredible DSM Metro seniors I get to photograph this summer and fall! (I’m booking and still have openings, so let me know if you’re interested here.)
